Music is a local music and video player. It plays files that are already on your phone.

What Music collects

Nothing. Music does not collect, store on a server, sell, or share any personal or device data.

• No network. Music does not send your files, library, or usage anywhere. It does not stream or download.
• Local files only. Music reads the songs and videos on your phone (with your permission) to list and play them. Its own library file (queue, shuffle, repeat, hidden folders) is saved only on your phone.
• No accounts. There is no sign-up or login.
• No ads. Music shows no advertising and contains no ad SDKs.
• No analytics or tracking. No analytics, crash reporting, or tracking SDKs.

Permissions

• Music and audio / Videos (Android 13+), or Storage (Android 12 and older): to list and play the songs and videos on your phone.
• Notifications: to show playback controls while music plays in the background.
• Foreground service (media playback): so songs keep playing when the screen is off or you switch apps.

Feedback

Settings → Send feedback only opens a draft in your own email app (to stellartimelock@gmail.com, with the app version and phone model filled in). Music never sends anything itself; you choose whether to send the email.

Children

Music is not directed to children and collects no data from anyone.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be posted at this address with a new effective date.
